Mailing List Purchase

MarketVolt can help you rent an email list for the purposes of a one- or two-time lead acquisition mailing. 

We do NOT allow you to upload a purchased list into the MarketVolt system and treat that list as part of the house list to which you repeatedly send email campaigns. 

Most reputable list vendors do not supply a file to clients who buy/rent the list. The vendors send an email from their servers on the client’s behalf. Vendors who provide the list directly to clients are most likely selling a rotten list — a list that has been compiled unethically (and perhaps illegally) and that probably has many bad records. 

If the list is compiled ethically and legally and if the records are up-to-date, the vendor has a treasured asset and will not put the list in others’ hands. We work only with trusted, reputable list vendors.

If you wish to buy/rent a list, you should design your campaign to acquire leads. Create an email that drives recipients to a page where they can opt-in for future mailings. Give them a reason to raise their hands. Offer them a free report or tips. Make a compelling case for them to sign up for your newsletter. Anything to get them to explicitly say, “Yes…I want to hear more from you.” 

Those who opt-in this way can be added to your MarketVolt database for ongoing campaigns.

Identify the target population and purchase a list
We would work with you to hone the requirements for your lists, and we would work with our trusted list vendors to find tightly defined, targeted email lists that meet the requirements. We recommend list vendors who send an email from their system, on your client’s behalf, rather then vendors who will actually deliver to you a list of emails. The former have cleaner lists that were compiled more ethically. The list cost may be a bit higher, but the response rates will be better. 

Compose and send initial email
In consultation with you, we can compose the email and work with the vendor to have the email delivered properly. The purpose of this email is to drive recipients to a page on the internet where the process continues.

Design Squeeze Page to Capture Prospects
The email will link to a page either on your site or one we build separate from your site. The page will include information that gives visitors a reason to raise their hand — a free report, tips, or other valuable information. Visitors will have to provide name and email address to download the information. In so doing, they opt-in to your database and can receive more information. 

Compose Content for Prospects to Download
In consultation with you, we can compose and design the content that visitors register to download. When they enter name and email, they will jump to a thank you page with a link to download the content. Simultaneously, the name and email data will can be automatically entered into the MarketVolt database if you wish to use MarketVolt for your ongoing campaign. We can design the thank you page and the report.

Devise Follow-Up Strategy and Compose Follow-Up Email
Once the prospects are in your MarketVolt database, you may communicate regularly with them. We suggest that you follow-up quickly with a call to action.
